Gary & Sharon

South Essex Golf Club is a lovely choice for a wedding and the grounds make for a beautiful video. South Essex has built a bespoke wedding venue on the golf course grounds and for our wedding videography and we had a ball. More on the wedding venue late but let’s start with Gary & Sharon. Another wedding that was postponed due to covid but of course, the day was here and Dave and I were there for both the photography and videography. We split up as usual for the preparations with Dave going to Gary’s and I was at Sharon’s with her two wonderful daughters. Gary and Sharon were just great to work with, relaxed with good humour, and everyone was at ease. Also a big thank you to Sharon’s daughters for making the arrangements and planning so easy.

At the venue it really was emotional, Sharon looked wonderful as she walked the aisle with her daughters and Gary was not one for hiding his emotions, in fact, I wanted to shed a tear of joy too, maybe I did :), Dave definitely did!. It was a small but lovely wedding set outside overlooking the golf course but with a nice element of privacy too.

The guests enjoyed canapes and drinks overlooking the 18th hole and water feature too. The Group photos had the course backdrop and we filmed the whole thing. Here is just a highlight video that we produce alongside a full version for our wedding packages. We whisked the newlyweds away for some couple photos and had a giggle with them throughout the filming.

The evening turned out to be extra special as we had arranged at 9 pm some sunset photos and video but at ten minutes to nine black clouds loomed and sure enough, the rains came. We thought the chance had gone, Dave and I looked at each other and cried again, ok well not quite but instead, the clouds cleared rapidly and an amazing rainbow appeared on the horizon. All we needed was cinematic music to complete our euphoric feelings lol. Wasting no time we set about the video and photos and wow we were both buzzing. After the video I was so excited I was like Charlie in the chocolate factory, sadly without the chocolate :).

Big thanks to all the family and friends, especially Sharon’s Daughters who we had a great laugh with throughout the day and their organisation was amazing.

South Essex Golf Club has a new garden room situated on the side with beautiful views of the grounds is private for your wedding and also has its own terrace and garden planted nicely to add a splash of colour, this has been well thought out. The wedding organiser Umesh was great and kept everybody updated and informed and nothing seemed too much trouble for him on the day.
