The Reid Rooms is located at Margaret Roding on the Essex/Hertfordshire border. Wedding photography at the Reid rooms is stunning with great outdoor and indoor areas. There’s a Grade II listed, 15th century moated farmhouse sleeping 20 guests too. Wedding Preparations at The Reid Rooms
The farmhouse
For your wedding preparations the traditional farm house will be perfect. The bridal party can get ready here with the upstairs room for preparations and downstairs makes for some lovely photos when you’re all ready with great light flowing into the room. For the wedding photos and film there’s nice areas outside too with a lawn area and of course the cottage as a backdrop.
Wedding Ceremonies at The Reid Rooms
At The Reid Rooms you’ll get a choice of indoor or outdoor spaces for the wedding ceremony. The indoor rustic look with oak beams and sparkling lights is a separate building and will seat up to 100 guests. Or you can get married in the outdoor meadow pavilion with as many guests as want with beautiful rural views, grass tree lined space and pond. Either way your wedding photography will be great.

Drinks Reception at The Reid Rooms
After the wedding ceremony guests will mingle at the courtyard at the centre of The Reid Rooms for their drinks reception. It’s an ideal place for lots of candid shots and everyone will want to congratulate the happy couple.
Group photos for your Reid Rooms Wedding
To start I’d normally recommend the confetti shot on the stone lined pathway. Then if you’d like a group shot the balcony offers a great vantage point over the courtyard.
For the rest of the groups you can either use the outdoor meadow area if you’ve booked an outdoor wedding or go around to the farmhouse and take advantage of their gardens and pond for the group wedding photos.

Couple Photos at The Reid Rooms
You have a lot of choice at The Reid Rooms, just take a walk around the grounds which are beautiful. The farmhouse lawn has a bench and arch as well as photos overlooking the pond area or with the farmhouse in the background. The outdoor meadow area also has a pond and the trees there shield a sparkling sun for some lovely intimate photos. You also have the stone path with plants lining each side and then the stunning entrance lane with fabulous trees lining each side.
Wedding Breakfast at The Reid Rooms
The Breakfast Meal room is a good size and decorated with your choice looks lovely. Large round tables seat 10 each so even for larger parties you’ll have ample room.

Depending on the season you’ll either use the indoor area or for those summer months the outdoor courtyard is nicely shielded from any wind. You can even have an outdoor band setup and the guests will enjoy the party outdoors.
