Blake Hall is in Ongar in Essex and has lovely restored barns for the ceremony and Reception that are large, light and beautifully decorated. The grounds are planted with shrubs, trailers and trees so your wedding photos will be amazing.
Blake Hall Preparations
Here’s the first tick for the wedding venue as the preparations are held in a three bedroom cottage with lovely gardens. Fully equipped with a double dressing room with all the facilities you will need. It also has a large living area and kitchen.

Ceremonies at Blake Hall
It gets even better with the fabulous barn ceremony, large and well light with a large glass front you’ll have tons of room for large ceremonies here.
Ceremony Barn
Fully restored the barn is just spectacular and amongst the very best in Essex. There’s an overlooking balcony area too, perfect for some great photos and video
Drinks Reception
Between the ceremony basin and reception barn the grounds are perfect for the drinks reception, especially in the warmer months. There is a patio area with table and chairs as well as a large lawn area. The outside barn will be set up when the weather is good too.
Group photos for you Blake Hall Wedding
You won’t be walking far for the group shots as they can all be taken in the drinks reception area on the lawn and patio.
I also like to head into the tree area behind for some shots in the shade that always look great.
Couple Photos at Blake Hall
When it's time to capture some lovely couple photos we can start under the willow tree and wooded parts in the drinks reception area. Then a short walk through the grounds reveals beautiful planted areas, lovely walls lined with wisteria and then into the garden flooded with blooms, a wild garden and even a swing. Plenty of choice to get a good variety of wonderful couple photos.
Wedding Breakfast
The large restored barn for the wedding breakfast is huge accommodation large wedding parties. Tables are laid out spaciously and your surrounded by the ambience of an historic barn complete with beams and great lighting.
The Wedding Party at Blake Hall
The evening dancing will be in same barn which will be turned around whilst the guests enjoy a drink, usually outside.
There will be plenty of seated areas, the large bar and of course the spacious dance floor area.
It’s another massive tick for Blake Hall as all the guests will be together in the same area, whether sitting and chatting at the tables or bar, or enjoying the music on the dance floor
