Wedding Venue

Gosfield Hall is a large Georgian Manor with beautiful garden that look great all year round, with plenty of ceremony option including indoors or outdoors. Definitely one of our favourite wedding venues as both the architecture and grounds are amazing and for our photography and videography every wedding is filled with great content. The bridal preparation suite is simply stunning.

Preparations at Gosfield Hall

There’s simply no venue that matches the magnificence of Gosfield Halls bridal preparation suite. It’s huge and stunning, even the bathroom is bigger than most preparation rooms. The gentleman or partner are located just across the landing in their own large area so everything is kept simple. Photography in the bridal suite is fantastic with huge mirrors either side of the three large windows face each other so you can get an infinity effect, georgeous.

The Ceremony at Gosfield Hall

You may opt for the favourite Queen Charlotte's gallery upstairs with provides a 100 foot aisle walk and is oak panelled throughout. Downstairs is The Grand Salon , a large room with plenty of light. There is also an inner courtyard for warmer months if you prefer an outdoor wedding, this is not usually as popular as one of the above options inside.

The Drinks reception

With the centre-piece fountain the drinks reception is often on the patio and lawn area. Group shots and confetti are ideally arranged first whilst the guests are all present. There’s plenty of room and seating with tables and umbrellas too. Generally guests will mingle both on the lawn areas where they can play croquette and sit or stand on the patio.

Outside the Manor by the fountain is a great option if it’s overcast, with views from all angles of both the house and the surrounding fields and trees. However on the sunny days I prefer to use the shelter of two large conifers to shield the guests eyes from the harsh sun. The views and background is equally good, if not better with the house, shrubs and flower beds sitting nicely in the background.

The Special Couple Photos at Gosfield Hall

A walk around the house and gardens will provide plenty of photo opportunities. It’s one venue that has severall nice interior areas just in case of bad weather. Outside you have the enclosed courtyard and carriage area for some amazing shots, then a walk around the grounds provides so many photo ideas. If you’re lucky enough to get a sunset then it will be in full view of all the guests on the patio and a Large Stags statue can frame the pictures and film nicely.

Wedding Breakfast

The Stunning Ballroom can cater for over 100 guests and is well lit throughout with large windows extending the full width. With oak panelling and wood floors too you really will feel like royalty here.

The Evening Reception at Gosfield Hall

The cake cutting takes place beneath the grand staircase and I love to position some key guests on the stairs overlooking the cut as it makes for great photos. Sometimes there’s even a bouquet throw from the stairs too. Then it’s through the bar area to the small dance floor for the first dance. adjoining the bar is also a large library with comfortable seating and some guests will enjoy this area too during the evening. Of course on hot days plenty of guests will prefer a drink and chat on the patio whilst kids play on the lawns.

Accommodation

There’s a total of 23 rooms including the amazing bridal suite so many of your guests may choose to stay over and enjoy a party long into the night.
